Now is the perfect time to start an eBay dropshipping business. It’s easy to start, and you don’t need any specialized knowledge. As long as you have a computer and Internet access, you can be up and running in days. However, you must be willing to devote time to research and plan your product line if you want to be successful.
Think about what types of products that you wish to sell online. Use eBay to research your products. Be sure to focus on the hot sellers that are not just passing fads. Keep in mind that you do not want to deal with a highly competitive product.
You ideally want a product that has strong sales but that is not being sold by more than 2 or 3 sellers on eBay. Those products are clearly winning products.
Once you have determined your products, find a dropshipper to supply you with your product inventory. A dropshipper, like a wholesaler, can supply your company with products that you wish to sell to your customers.
The difference is that when a customer orders from you, you forward the order to the dropshipper who will then “drop shipment” of your products directly to your customer. Your customer won’t even know that your products are coming from a dropshipper as the dropshipper will put your name and information on all products – even though they are not being sent out by you!
Before you begin working with a dropshipper, you have to do your homework to make sure you are dealing with a legitimate one. Contact them and tell them what you needs are. During this initial contact, find out more about their company and ask for references of other companies who have used their service. You can develop a profitable eBay dropshipping business but you need to have the right suppliers in place.
