Come on… do people really make any money online these days? I mean ordinary run of the mill grunts who sweat it out everyday of the week in the bloody corporate trenches? Or is making money online an oxymoron that tricks the unsuspecting masses into forking out a few bucks to give er a try?
I say it’s alive and well and making a few – massive fortunes – hundreds of thousands a good living and millions more a steady stream of income.
But it’s not without a learning curve, a few misfires, a couple bucks lost… like any new enterprise you gotta start with some kind of a plan. So what do you want to do? Do want residual income? Get into subscription sites, self loading content – like Youtube, or Facebook – hmmm I wonder if they made any money with their online business…. I recently read about a 20 year old college kid in Ottawa Canada – Silicon Valley north and home of RIM – who developed a way to sell advertising online that was cool to a bigger monied up corporate group who forked over something like – a paltry $27M to buy him out.
Not sure if he was happy with his results or not – because HE TURNED AROUND AND DID IT AGAIN!
Recently I’ve noticed a trend to engage internet newbies with the prospect of online business by providing them with every possible tool they can want or need to be super successful with little or no money involved. I like that trend a lot, because it opens the gate for the average guy to play in the sandbox. For the run o the mill guy who just wants a break to make a few hundred bucks a day so he can get on with doing what he likes to do – like sleep in… travel… play with his kids more often… buy stuff for his girl… drive a nicer car… live in a nicer neighborhood… you get the picture. Heck I want all that stuff too.
